The Barbados Youth Development Council has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young people as leaders of sustainable development.
This forms part of the council’s 2025 International Youth Day message, delivered by President Caleb Brathwaite, under the theme ‘Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond’.
He says last year, as part of their 55th anniversary celebrations, they partnered with the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office and the Division of Youth Affairs to bring the SDGs to summer camps across Barbados.
Mr. Brathwaite says partnerships are key to reaching their goals.
