Political analyst Peter Wickham says Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne’s announcement that he will be switching from his current Christ Church South seat to St. John in the next general election comes as no surprise.
In fact, he describes it as the worst-kept secret in Barbados’ politics.
However, he says there can be two perspectives on the announcement.
On the other hand, Mr Wickham says there is also an optimistic perspective, which is that Mr Thorne’s prospects are better in St John.
