Three of Barbados’ male surfers advanced to the Men’s round of 64 when the action continued in the BTMI Barbados Surf Pro at the Soup Bowl in Bathsheba today.
Tommaso Layson was a winner in his heat, after registering a 9.67.
Also a winner was Caleb Rapson, whose wave total of 12.06 scored him the win in his heat.
Ocean Gittens was the other local surfer advancing when he finished second in his heat with a 9.94 score.
Unfortunately Rafe Gooding was eliminated at this stage when he was third in his heat.
Tomorrow Layson, Rapson and Gittens will join Josh and Jacob Burke and Lewis St. John in the round of 64, while on the Ladies side, Chelsea Tuach and Chelsea Roett will go in the round of 32.
