The Barbados under-21 national team has high hopes of qualifying for the Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar in 2025.
The Baby Gems departed the island recently to compete in the qualifying tournament, set for July 8th to 14th in Guadeloupe.
Speaking to CBC Sports ahead of the departure, Captain Shanita Callender said she’s confident of her team’s chances.
Coach Pamela Hesson is also optimistic about the team’s chances.
Barbados’ first game is today against St. Maarten at noon.
