Three Barbadian jockeys tasted success at the Woodbine Racetrack in Canada yesterday.
Juan Crawford, onboard “Worry Less”, produced a commanding performance to take race six, and Rico Walcott won with “Madam Gwen” in race eight.
However, it was apprentice jockey Xarel Forde with a late surge onboard “Right Brightly” that was extra special for the spectators.
Going six and one half furlongs, the winner stopped the clock in one minute 18.73 seconds.
Patrick Husbands is the highest placed Barbadian at Woodbine. He is eighth in the jockey standings with 17 victories.
