Barbadian wrestlers Adrian Maynard and Ayden Williams have both missed out on medals in the Greco-Roman event at the Under-23 Pan-American Championships in Mexico.
Maynard went down in his 77kg quarterfinal match with Nilson Angulo of Colombia eight-nil, while Williams was beaten in his quarterfinal 130kg match against Jose Encarnacion from the Dominican Republic four-nil.
Matthew Arindell did not make it out of the qualifying stage of the men’s 97kg event, when he lost nine-nil to Gabriel Skinner of Panama.
Tomorrow, Kayne Cumberbatch will compete in the men’s 74kg freestyle, Kodi Marshall will be in the men’s 86kg, and Jaydon Alleyne in the men’s 125kg.
