Barbadian athletes made it through to the finals of several events at the fifth NACAC Athletics Championships in the Bahamas.
On Friday, Tia-Adana Belle finished second overall in the preliminaries of the Women’s 400 Hurdles in a time of 55.83 to advance. Running in lane five, Belle won heat two to be an automatic qualifier.
Meanwhile, Rasheeme Griffith is also in to the Men’s 400 Hurdles Final, after he finished second in heat two with a time of 50.11 seconds for fourth overall.
Tai Brown missed out on a place in the semis after finishing fourth in heat one of the Men’s 110 Hurdles in 14.57.
Kyle Gale is in to the final of the Men’s 400 Metre as a non-automatic qualifier in 46.04 seconds, after his fourth place in heat two. Unfortunately, Desean Boyce missed his chance of advancing with a fourth-place finish in heat three of the same event in 46.24 seconds.
Kuron Griffith was through to the Men’s 100 Metre Final after he placed second in heat one in 10.21 seconds, lining up in lane four in Friday evening’s final. Justin Maynard was 21st overall in that Men’s 100 Metres after he was sixth in heat four in 10.58 seconds.
