Barbados Pride have dropped to fourth place and will now have to play against the top-seeded rivals Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in the semifinals of the CG United Super50 Cup.
Following Sunday’s final round of games, the Pride ended fourth on 46 points after the Leeward Hurricanes defeated Combined Campuses and Colleges by four wickets. That result put the Hurricanes on 51 points.
The other game between the West Indies Academy and Windward Islands Volcanoes ended in a no-result due to rain. Hosts Trinidad and Tobago Red Force ended the prelims first on 63, while in second are Jamaica Scorpions on 53.
Pride will play Red Force in the first semifinal on Wednesday while Scorpions take on Hurricanes in the second semi on Thursday. Both games are set for 1 p.m. at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy ground and will be live on MCTV’s ESPN channels.
