Barbados ended the 52nd edition of the Carifta Games in Trinidad and Tobago with a medal haul of 14.
The Barbados team collected one gold, five silver and eight bronze. It is the island’s best performance at the games since 2016, when Barbados won 20 medals in Grenada.
Barbados secured the gold medal when Jayden Greene won the Under 20 Boys 200 Metres in 20.93 seconds.
Earlier, Maya Rollings claimed silver in the Under-20 Girls 100 Metres Hurdles in 13.80 seconds.
In other medals, Darion Belgrave took bronze in the Under-17 Boys 200 Metres in 21.68 seconds, Aaron Morris secured bronze in the Under 20 Boys 800 Metres in one minute, 51.90 seconds, while Ebony Brathwaite also got a bronze in the Under-17 Girls Javelin Throw, measuring 39.16 Metres.
