Barbados will be represented by a three-member team at the World Athletics Championships this year in Tokyo.
Double World 400 metre bronze medalist Sada Williams will headline the list, after making the entry standard of 50.75 when she clocked 49.83 seconds to finish seventh in the Olympic women’s final last year in Paris.
Joining her will be 400 metre hurdler Tia-Adana Belle, the reigning women’s NACAC champion, who made the grade via her world ranking.
And rounding out the team will be sprinter Kuron Griffith in the men’s 100 metres, who ran a qualifying time of 10.18 seconds at the recently concluded NACAC Championships in the Bahamas.
Dr. June Caddle will double up as team manager and coach.
The 20th World Athletics Championships will take place from September 13th to September 21st.
