26 athletes departed the island Wednesday to represent Barbados at the International Karate Daigaku (IKD) 4th World Cup, and Grand Benefit Gala in Georgetown Guyana.
The athletes will be joined by six officials for the event which will run to the 21st of July, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Manager Corey Greaves says the team should be very competitive.
Both Shannan Skeete and Joseph Tseu will be competing in the adult 20-39 category and say they are aiming for a podium position.
