The Barbados Olympic Association has started the roll out of its educational and funding programmes for 2025.
The BOA annually spends around five to seven million dollars or 70 to 75 percent of its total revenue on athletes, federations, coaches, games, education and training. This year, with some major games scheduled, President Sandra Osbourne says the financial wheels are already in motion.
With that pledge of continuing to support the development and growth of the island’s sportsmen, women and federations the BOA has sought to do a formal assessment on their current stakeholder engagement.
