March 15, 2025 is the new date earmarked for the first professional boxing card to be held in Barbados in a decade.
Veteran promoter Sam Layne has teamed up with former World Champion Christopher ‘Shaka’ Henry for the card titled “50/50” to be held at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed.
It will feature four bouts, one of them involving Anderson “King Pin” Emmanuel and the other the main bout involving Miguel “Hands of Stone” Antone.
Henry says he’s pleased that the younger boxers on the island have maintained an interest in the sport.
The boxers, Miguel and Anderson, say they have been training hard and are eager to get back into the ring.
