There is a call for the sporting federations to create more regional competitions to help improve the competitive standard of our athletes.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of this weekend’s CARIFTA Triathlon Championships at Accra Beach Hotel, Minister of Sports Charles Griffith implored federations to approach Government for support, as he wants to see more competitions next year outside of the annual CARIFTA and Caribbean championships.
