Defending champs advance to BRTO semi-finals

Defending men’s and women’s champions Mark “Venom” Griffith and Sheldene Walrond are into the semi-finals of this year’s Barbados Road Tennis Open.

Playing at Dover, Griffith defeated Adrian Scott in straight sets.

While Antonio “Lil man” Daniel won in three over Julian ” Michael Jackson” White.

Meantime, in the women’s category, Walrond got the better of Gail-Ann Edwards and Kim Holder thrashed Kyana Holder.

In other results…

Dario Hinds beat Davien Taylor 16-21, 21-19, 21-19.

While in the women – Rachel Smith won 21-16; 19-21; 21-19 over Marvalene Neblett.

And Maudlyn Blunt easily defeated Maria Cumberbatch 21-12, 21-12.
