Eight teams are set to compete at the West Indies Women’s Wind Ball Festival, slated for April 18 to 21 at Blenheim Playing Field.
This year will feature two competitions: a T-6 tournament on Good Friday, and a T-12 from April 19 to 21.
Teams will be representing Barbados, St. Vincent, Trinidad, Guyana, and Antigua, with invited players from the United Kingdom.
Recently, the shield named in honour of Hamilton Lashley and donated by the West Yorkshire Club arrived at Grantley Adams International Airport, where it was received by his daughter, Ashley Lashley, and tournament coordinator Rodney Simpson.
Tournament coordinator Simpson says the festival is a testament to Lashley’s hard work and dedication throughout the years.
