Russell Elcock came out on top when the 2025 Barbados cycling season pushed off at the Long Bay Circuit in St. Philip yesterday.
The Bike Caribbean rider won category one of the Don Stoute and Percival Niles Memorial race, ahead of Liam Hutchinson of Sentry Glassessco in second and Shakeil Walker of Team Sonics in third.
Randy Licrish won category two, category three went to Kemar Williams and category four was won by Liam Beckles.
Meantime, Danielle Hinds gave Bike Caribbean the ladies’s win, when she out-rode Marissa Bradshaw.
In the combined ladies’ division, Arielle Greaves of Sentry Glassessco finished first ahead of Leanda Gittens.
The masters 50-plus went to Darwin Griffith of Team Fugen and Ian Bovell of Team Sonics took first place in the masters 60-plus division.
Nazari Lashley of Golden Wheelers took the youth category.
The next local cycling meet will be the Bourbon Circuit in St. Lucy on February 23.
