West Indies lost their first ICC Women’s T20 World Cup warm-up match against India on Sunday.
Playing at the ICC Academy ground no 2, in Dubai, Windies Women sent India Women into bat, and kept them to 141 for eight.
Jemimah Rodrigues topscored with 52 that included 5-fours, while Windies skipper Haley Matthews took four for 17.
In reply, Windies women fell 20 runs short, finishing on 121 for eight.
Chinelle Henry topscored with 59 not out with 6-fours and 2-sixes.
The next warm-up match for Windies Women is on Tuesday against Australia Women.
The women’s T20 World Cup begins on Thursday, with the Windies’ opening match scheduled for Friday against South Africa.
