Barbados’ squash icon, Karen Meakins, has won another world title, this time at the World Masters Over 50 Squash Championships, held at the Frans Otten Stadion in Amsterdam.
Meakins made history by claiming her second world title, having been the first Barbadian to win a World Squash Championship in Poland back in 2022.
Meakins didn’t drop a single game as she advanced through the rounds defeating opponents from Mexico, Ireland, England, and South Africa.
In the final, Meakins delivered an outstanding performance against Linda Shannon of South Africa, winning 12-10, 14-12, 11-3.
