Top Barbadian draughts player Wynnell Neverson is still in line for a world draughts title after four rounds of the Women’s World Go-As-You-Please Title Challenge.
Playing in Trieste, Italy, Neverson is in first place on 12 points, just one point ahead of Anastasiia Glushko of Ukraine.
Another Barbadian player, Wilma Branch, is fifth on eight points.
Meanwhile, former world champion Ronald “Suki” King has moved into second place after four rounds of the Men’s World Go-As-You-Please qualifiers.
King is one of four players on 11 points, including Alex Moiseyev of the U.S., who’s in first place, Claudio Ciampi of Italy in third, and fellow Barbadian Jack Francis in fourth.
Of the other Barbadian competitors, Junior Waldron is seventh on nine points, Kent Layne 13th on eight, and Colin Price 15th on seven.
