Barbados Royals started their 2025 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League campaign on a losing note, falling to a six-wicket defeat to hosts Antigua and Barbuda Falcons Saturday night, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
Sent into bat, the Royals were restricted to 151 for 9, with an unbeaten half-century from captain Rovman Powell and 57 from Quinton de Kock. Jayden Seales and Obed McCoy took two wickets each for the Falcons.
In reply, the Falcons reached 152 for 4 in 19.4 overs, thanks mainly to 64 from Karima Gore.
