Barbadian Sada Williams is on to the next round of the 400-metres at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medalist and double World Championships bronze medalist qualified from Heat 4 for the semi-finals in a time of 50.45 seconds.
Williams competed in Heat 4 against two-time Olympic champion in the event, Bahamian Shaunae Miller-Uibo who did not finish.
2024 European champion, Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek, was first in a time of 49.98, while Cuba’s Roxana Gómez, came second in 50.38 seconds.
Those semi-finals will take place on Wednesday, August 7, while the final is on Friday, August 9.
