Improved training drills and building a competitive spirit are among several key areas being reinforced at the “Shoot Fuh Life” basketball tournament being held at the YMCA.
Several girls and boys from schools across the island took part in the start of the 2nd edition of the tournament for the year.
Participants were placed into six teams which focused on the under-17 age group.
The round robin phase is over, with the winning teams advancing to the semi-finals.
The finals are set for Saturday, April 12.
Project Co-ordinator of the Shoot Fuh Life Programme Dean Squires says they were aiming for around 50 people but the response has been amazing, and they were forced to increase the numbers to 74.
