Windies sweeps Proteas in T20 int’l series

West Indies have swept South Africa in their T20 International series.

Playing in the third match Tuesday evening at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago, in a game reduced to 13 overs per side due to rain, the PROTEAS posted 108 for four off their allotted overs.

Tristan Stubbs top scored with 40 off 15 balls, inclusive of 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Player of the Match Romario Shepherd took two for 14.

Here are the highlights of that innings.

The Windies were set a revised target of 116 off the same 13 overs, and they made 116 for 2 off 9.2 to win by eight wickets under the DLS method.

Shai Hope topscored with 42 not out that included a four and 4-sixes.

Shimron Hetmyer was unbeaten on 31, as he and Hope put on 56 for the unbroken 3rd wicket partnership.

Nicholas Pooran contributed 35.
