Barbadians are today still basking in the glow of celebration after marking two major events in the island’s history yesterday – the 55th anniversary of Independence and the transition to a Parliamentary Republic.
The Independence celebrations held in Golden Square Freedom Park included a National Honours ceremony addressed by Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley.
