Chief Medical Officer The Most Honourable Dr. Kenneth George says local health officials have put an Omicron surge plan into action over the past four weeks, as the island continued to record high average daily positive infections of COVID-19 in its third major wave of the virus.
He made the comment during a news conference this evening.
Dr. George adds that based on the numbers and initial scientific projections, the country may now be at the midway point of the current wave.
