President Dame Sandra Mason will head the list of dignitaries that will attend a memorial service to honour the life and work of the prominent Barbadian international novelist and writer, George Lamming.
Lamming died aged 94, on June the 4th.
According to an official statement Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, who recently tested positive for COVID-19 will attend the “Tribute to the Man and His Words” themed memorial service to be held at the Frank Collymore Hall, Church Village in St. Michael on Friday.
The statement said students from the George Lamming Primary School will be among those performing at the service, where attendance will be by invitation only.
