Police of the Narcotics Division have arrested and formally charged Colombian national, Oswaldo Rafael Acosta Aroca, 58 years, of #20 De Octubre, Santa Marta, Colombia for a number of offences.
He is facing several drug and immigration charges after reports of a multi-million dollar drug bust following months of surveillance, intelligence gathering and collaboration with regional law enforcement agencies, broke over the weekend.
Aroca is facing the following charges:
- Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
- Trafficking Cannabis
- Possession with Intent to Supply Cannabis
- Disembarking without the consent of an Immigration Officer
- Entering Barbados other than a port of Entry
He is schedule to appear at the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday 10th August 2022.
