Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has been named a Champion for Global Change by the United Nations Foundation for her leadership in fighting for a just, equitable and sustainable world.
She was presented with the award during the 2022 Global Leadership Awards in New York.
Ms. Mottley says the recognition is not only on her behalf but for the people of Barbados and other small island developing states.
She adds there’s too much at stake and more so than ever, the world needs multilateralism.
