The Barbados Government is about to roll out a new initiative that could land Barbadian students lucrative job opportunities.
This was revealed by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley during her speech at he Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s business luncheon and discussion forum at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St. Michael.
During his remarks at the event, BCCI President Anthony Branker said too many youths are leaving school with no meaningful future in sight.
He stressed that Barbados must be willing to direct under-achieving school leavers to a mandatory residential programme of discipline and skills training.
