Invest Barbados looks to Canada

Barbados is looking to strengthen and deepen its financial and investment relations with Canada even more.

This point was made by of Barbados’ Consul General in Toronto, Sonia Marville-Carter this morning, while addressing the breakfast touchpoint event at Fairmont Royal York in Toronto put on by Invest Barbados.

She stressed the importance of five decades of diplomatic relations.

Ms. Marville-Carter said that as Barbados approaches its first anniversary as a republic, they intend to continue diversifying Barbados’ range of business products and grow investment in traditional areas.

These include insurance, wealth management, financial services, information communication technology, renewable energy and niche manufacturing.

She said the session was key and the Consul is ready to help.

The Director of International Business in the Ministry of Energy and Business, Kevin Hunte was also there to speak with the participants and answer questions about doing business in Barbados.
