Barbadians must help dogs and other animals struggling to survive.
British High Commissioner to Barbados, Scott Furssedonn-Wood recently made this point during a special fashion show charity event held at the High Commissioner’s official Ben Mar residence, in St. Michael.
Proceeds of the charity event will help to fund Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary. The sanctuary’s mission is to protect and advocate for stray, abandoned and abused dogs and cats in Barbados.
And Mr. Furssedonn-Wood spoke about the significance of the campaign for his family.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Acres Animal Sanctuary, Karen Whittaker expressed gratitude to the British High Commissioner for facilitating the charity event.
She said the sanctuary currently cares for approximately 500 dogs and cats.
