The Barbados Water Authority is conducting emergency repairs on a 12-inch main at the junction of St. Stephens Hill and Grazettes Terrace in St. Michael.
In a release, it says to facilitate the repairs, the Pumping Station which supplies the area with water has been taken offline today Wednesday, January 18.
The BWA says customers in the following areas may be affected by low pressure or water outages as a result:
Free Hill, Cave Hill, Waterford, Codrington, Spooner’s Hill, Bush Hall, Tudor Bridge, Grazettes, Fairfield and surrounding districts.
The Water Authority has strongly recommend that customers in these districts who still have a pipe-borne supply, store water to assist during the period of work.
It says water tankers will be dispatched to assist customers in the affected areas as a temporary measure.
The BWA has apologised for any inconvenience this emergency work may cause.
