As the Oistins Bay Garden celebrates its 27th anniversary, Minister with Responsibility for Culture Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight says the fishing town is an important part of the island’s intangible cultural heritage.
Speaking on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados, she says this is often overlooked when talking culture.
Government’s Special Advisor on Culture and Heritage, Senator John King meanwhile paid kudos to the vision of the late Sir Harold St. John for the historic town.
He says Oistins is steeped in history as one of the premier attractions in Barbados.
