One of the exhibitors at this year’s Agrofest wants a co-operative set up among dairy farmers in Barbados.
According to Barry Bishop, it should be the way forward to help address issues of cost of inputs in the industry.
Meanwhile, President of the Barbados Sheep Farmers Incorporated and Livestock Coordinator of Agrofest, Rommel Parris says there have been challenges for some farmers getting ready for this year’s event.
However, he says there are encouraging signs for the agro industry in Barbados, noting as well that the quality of the animals entered in this year’s show is high.
