The Barbados Water Authority is on a mission to update its database of water and pumping wells across the island.
The entity has launched its “Where Are the Wells” campaign which seeks to get the public to report the location of wells across the island.
Technical Advisor to the BWA Board, Dr. John Mwansa, explains a similar exercise was done back in 1997.
However, given the threat of climate change and reduced rainfall, he says knowing the various sites will help the BWA manage the resource better.
