African Awareness Day at the Christ Church Girls Primary School was a learning one as the school embraced Literacy Week, taking students on a journey to Africa.
It was all hands on deck as students, parents and teachers ensured the week-long celebrations were a success.
On display was the craft and handiwork of students, along with research work undertaken on various aspects of the continent, including the ancient pyramids and Egyptians.
Culture was also on show as the students donned African-themed wear and showcased their natural hairstyles.
Principal, Orlain Benn says the decision to link African Awareness Day with Literacy Week paid off.
Students meanwhile were keen to share what they learnt.
