People with disabilities in Barbados will soon have more access to the services offered by the National Disabilities Unit.
This revelation has come from Director of the NDU, John Hollingsworth, who spoke with CBC News about plans for the coming financial year.
According to Mr. Hollingsworth, an additional bus will soon be delivered, which will allow the Unit to serve more individuals with their transportation needs.
He’s acknowledged the diligent work of the staff and has given insight into two new employment projects which will soon be launched.
The Director says the Unit will intensify its efforts to foster a more inclusive society where the disabled are treated equally.
