Barbados to host Regional Police T20 Tournament

March 7, 2023

From March 31 to April 10, nine law enforcement teams will be on the island competing in the 2023 Regional Police T20 Cricket Tournament.

The 11th edition of the competition involves police teams from Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.

They join defending champions Barbados for over a week of action at four grounds across the island.

The final is set for Kensington Oval.

Chairman of the Organising Committee, Trevor Griffith, says the scope of the tournament, themed “All Are Welcome”, is way beyond just the field of play.

The Barbados Police Service has fully endorsed the tournament, which is open to all countries under the Caribbean Commissioners of Police Association.

Deputy Commissioner, Erwin Boyce, says the opportunity to host this year’s tournament in Barbados is one he and the top command embraced.
