No new taxes and a 25% reduction in monies owed to the Barbados Water Authority and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
These are among the major announcements by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley today as she delivered the 2023 Budget.
The Finance Minister said the absence of new taxes reflects the Government’s understanding of the challenges Barbadians have endured in recent years.
She adds that the discount offered regarding the BWA and QEH, is part of a strategy to ensure Government collects outstanding monies.
