China is interested in building trade relationships with Barbados.
The assurance from Chinese Ambassador Yan Xiusheng on a recent tour of the award-winning Foursquare Rum Distillery in St. Philip.
Accompanied by Consular Officer, Liang Jie and consular staff, along with Director of Foreign Trade Kay Sealy and officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the Ambassador said he was happy to have been invited to the Distillery.
He told the gathering China is open to Barbadian products.
Managing Director of the Foursquare Rum Distillery Richard Seale gave an in depth history of the family-owned Distillery to the visitors, from the acquisition of the estate, to the production and bottling of the company’s domestic and export brands.
