Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey says the Government is looking at the possibility of setting up mini-elderly care facilities in every parish, as officials try to tackle the reality that the elderly population in Barbados is steadily starting to outnumber those of working age.
He made the comment during an event at the National Botanical Gardens, to officially launch a memorial space for the Barbados Alzheimer’s Association.
