CMC – Roseau, Dominica
Police Tuesday said they are awaiting the results of the autopsy on the body of a 48-year-old American national found hanging in a cabin of a yacht last weekend.
The police said the unnamed yacht, owned and captained by Simon Elias of Washington, was anchored in the Caribbean Sea, about 75 feet from Castle Comfort, south of here.
They said the discovery of the body was made last Thursday and that Elias was pronounced dead at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, in Goodwill on the outskirts of the capital, Roseau.
“His body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy,” the police added.
