Moves are afoot to have sexual education made mandatory on school’s curriculum.
Children’s Advocate, Faith Marshall-Harris revealed this is among the many recommendations made towards the National Action Plan which forms part of the fundamental education reform.
She was at the time making a presentation during the 43rd Universal Periodic Review for Barbados at the Human Rights Council.
It was further revealed by Ms. Marshall-Harris that Barbados will soon embark on education campaigns and national discourse on the issue of the banning of corporal punishment in all settings.
