The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has discontinued the flood and severe thunderstorm watch effective immediately.
However, a mid to upper-level trough will continue to generate cloudy to overcast skies with pockets of light to moderate showers, periods of rain and the slight chance of isolated thunderstorms. As a result, the alert level for Excess Rainfall and Severe Thunderstorms has been lowered to yellow (be aware).
Residents and visitors should be aware of the following possibilities if this alert level elevates to orange or red:
-Some soil erosion on bared or scarred land surfaces.
- Water settlements on roads and fields.
- Increases water levels of existing water bodies (e.g. ponds etc.).
- Some delays on traffic routes in this area.
