CMC – A Captain in the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Rondel Douglas, who served as the special assistant to the recently retired Chief of Staff, was shot and killed late Wednesday.
The police report that Douglas was using his private car to provide taxi services when he was attacked and killed.
According to reports, he was hired by a young man to be taken to the North Ruimveldt area in Georgetown, where the man and an accomplice attacked him.
They then shot the GDF captain and fled in his vehicle.
The police have launched an investigation.
