The Barbados Government has a plan in place to secure the country’s fuel and natural gas supplies for the hurricane season.
Minister of Energy and Business Development, Senator Lisa Cummins, speaking on last night’s Public Affairs Programme ‘One-On-One’, says there is also a plan to ensure adequate energy supplies are available in the event of a hurricane or some other disaster.
Also on the programme aired on CBC TV8 last evening, Senator Cummins said there cannot be any promises that consumers will not have further increases in gas prices, but that the Government is seeking to help ease the burden.
