Private owners of public transport vehicles have embarked on a project aimed at reducing fossil fuel emissions.
Kelvin Scott spoke about the Transport Energy Project, an initiative of the Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT), on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
He says the considerations include the use of CNG or compressed natural gas.
Mr. Scott says while the initial investment to transition vehicles to electric or compressed natural gas may be high, the benefits will be seen in the long run.
