Fresh off hosting the 15th session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD 15) Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has re-emphasized the need for strong political will to combat the challenges facing the world.
Notwithstanding the “give and take” during the conference, she says leaders were able to successfully conclude the Bridgetown Covenant and the Spirit of Speightstown.
Prime Minister Mottley was a part of the panel for last night’s Caribbean Economic Forum, held under the topic ‘From Inequality and Vulnerability to Prosperity For All’.
Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn believes the conference, though held virtually, has opened the minds of young people to what’s possible.
