ROSEAU, Dominica, CMC – Police say two people are assisting their investigations into the death of an 18-month-old toddler, who died at the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital after she had been brought there in an unresponsive state.
The police said the child, Yolana St Jean, was brought to the Accident and Emergency Department of the hospital in Goodwill, on the outskirts of the capital on January 12 and “was examined and pronounced dead that same evening by a medical doctor”.
The police said that two people, whom they did not identify by name or sex, had been taken into custody in connection with the death of the child.
The statement gave no further details.
